How this platform is built

Purpose built electric delivery vans are not converted cargo vans. They are designed around a low, flat load floor with the battery under it, a tall walk in cargo area, and a driver station optimized for getting in and out hundreds of times a day. The body is a mix of steel or aluminum structure with large composite or thermoplastic outer panels, chosen because they are light, they shrug off minor contact, and they do not corrode.

That construction sets the repair rules. Composite panels do not dent and pop back the way steel does. They scuff, gouge, crack, and delaminate at fastener points, and they are bonded or bolted rather than welded. High voltage cable routing runs under and along the lower body where curb and dock damage happens. And the sliding or roll up cargo door, the bulkhead door and the driver door are cycling constantly, so wear shows up as mechanism failure long before it shows up as body damage.

Composite and thermoplastic outer panels over a structural floor

The large body panels on these vans are chosen for weight and for damage tolerance, not for repairability in the traditional body shop sense. The pack lives under the load floor and the high voltage runs are routed low, which is exactly where curb strikes, dock contact and wheel well damage land. Often yes, but for a different reason than you would fix it mid life. Lease return and resale inspections price corner scuffs, wheel arch damage and torn graphics harshly, and a batch cosmetic pass before turn in usually costs less than the chargebacks. Mid life, the same damage is frequently worth deferring. We separate cosmetic items from functional ones on the estimate so you can make that call per unit.

Can you handle several vans at once for a fleet?

Yes, on a staged schedule rather than all at once. Our 35,000 square foot facility has the bay space to hold multiple units, but a fleet gets better throughput and a smaller uptime hit when vehicles arrive in a planned rotation. We build a per unit list, sequence the work so shared parts orders overlap, and return vehicles to route as each one finishes rather than holding the group.

Do you reinstate fleet branding and wraps after panel work?

Yes, and we schedule it into the same visit. Corner and lower panel damage almost always destroys the graphics over it, so repairing the panel and reinstating branding as two separate visits means losing the van twice. We match existing fleet livery, reapply decals and wrap sections over repaired areas, and where a whole panel was replaced we discuss whether a partial or full re-wrap gives the better visual result.
