These terms govern use of ocrvshop.com and the commercial terms of repair work performed by OCRV Center. Where these terms and a signed repair order conflict, the signed repair order governs.
Website use
The content on this site is provided for information. It describes how we approach repair work and how insurance claims generally operate. It is not a diagnosis of your vehicle, not a quote, and not legal advice. Two vehicles with identical visible damage routinely require different repairs, which is why nothing on this site should be treated as a commitment about your specific vehicle.
Estimates and assessments
Estimates are a billed service. The systems estimate is $150. Diagnostic time bills at $285 per hour with a 1 hour minimum. Both are credited in full against the repair when you authorize the work.
An estimate reflects the damage visible and reasonably discoverable at the time of inspection. Concealed damage found during teardown is documented and presented as a supplemental estimate for your approval before that additional work proceeds.
Authorization
No repair work begins without your written authorization of a written estimate, as required by California law. You will receive an itemized estimate before work starts, and we will obtain your approval before exceeding it.
Rates
Posted labor rates are $210 per hour for body and paint, $260 per hour for mechanical and electrical, $285 per hour for diagnostics and programming, and $95 per hour for detail. Paint supplies bill at $55 per paint hour and body supplies at $5 per body hour. A $45 hazardous material and disposal charge applies where solvents, refrigerant, or LP are involved.
Parts at or under $100 carry a 100 percent markup. Parts over $100 carry a 35 percent markup. Sales tax at 7.75 percent applies to parts and materials. Labor is not taxed.
Work billed to an insurance carrier may be billed at carrier negotiated rates that differ from the posted retail rates above.
Deposits
- Jobs exceeding $2,000 require a 50 percent deposit at authorization.
- Jobs exceeding $10,000 require an additional 25 percent upon parts arrival.
- The balance is due at pickup. No vehicle is released until the invoice is paid in full.
Special order parts
Special order parts require payment in full at the time of order and are non refundable. Many components are built to a specific model year and floor plan and cannot be returned to the supplier for credit. We will identify a part as special order before you authorize it.
Payment
We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Card payments exceeding $1,000 carry a 3.5 percent surcharge, which is a direct pass through of merchant processing fees. Insurance direct billing carries no surcharge. Returned checks are subject to applicable fees.
Storage
Vehicles not collected within three business days of completion notification may accrue daily storage charges. We will notify you before storage charges begin. Vehicles abandoned on the premises are handled under the applicable provisions of California law, including lien procedures where they apply.
Scope of work we perform
All work is performed in shop at our Yorba Linda facility. We do not offer mobile service, roadside service, or fleet route service. On commercial trucks we perform body, structural, paint, and equipment installation work. We do not perform engine, drivetrain, or DOT inspection work.
Customer property
Remove personal belongings before drop off. We are not responsible for personal property left in a vehicle. Where a repair requires removing installed customer equipment, we will discuss it with you first.
Photography
We photograph vehicles at intake, during teardown, and at completion as standard documentation practice. These photographs are part of the repair file and are shared with your insurance carrier where a claim is involved.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from a repair is limited to the amount paid for that repair. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of use, lost revenue, or missed travel, except where California law provides otherwise.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Repair work is performed under California Bureau of Automotive Repair license ARD00288521. Complaints regarding automotive repair may be directed to the Bureau of Automotive Repair.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect at the time you authorize a repair governs that repair.
